During my time at CCBC, I’ve come to realize that online classes are just not for me. For one, classes become increasingly difficult when you don’t have a device compatible with most programs and surprise surprise that has once again become an issue. Secondly, I think that in general I learn better in a face-to-face setting. So I think it would be safe to say that I’ve honestly been struggling. I’ve been finding it difficult to stay on top of all of my classes and also trying to stay sane being stuck inside for 3 weeks.

So I thought about ways that would help me feel even a little bit better because I am an introvert and my problem isn’t being inside (that’s honestly my usual) but instead it is the class aspect of it…

  1. I have to finish the semester – whether or not I like it, I still have to get passing grades in all of my classes whether or not there is a global pandemic.
  2. It’s okay to take a break – is this an excuse to procrastinate? Probably. But seriously if you feel overwhelmed and you just need a break, take a break. The school work will still be there tomorrow.
  3. Pick up a new hobby – what better than to pick up a new skill especially because the number one reason most people don’t have hobbies is because they are too busy. Well you are not busy now. How about knitting or photography or reading, the possibilities are endless.
  4. Crying – yes sometimes a good cry can go a long way.

Remember to be gentle with yourself especially when you begin to feel overwhelmed with yourself, school, or even some of your professors. I hope you are all keeping up with the updates, checking your school email, as well as attending all your class sessions.

Once again, stay safe everyone.
