What do you love most about your profession? I love to make people happy. My business has allowed me to do that every day. Pie makes people smile! I also love the organization skills I use every day. I really enjoy being my own boss as well.

Who influenced you most during your time at CCBC? Cindy Peterka at the Dundalk Campus influenced me the most. Cindy was my advisor from the time I started at CCBC until I graduated. I could always go to her when I encountered a bump in the road, and she helped me through. Cindy was my cheerleader and role model. Personal connections and counseling help young students experience success.

How did your education at CCBC prepare you for what you are doing today? My education at CCBC taught me organizational and time management skills. Running my own business has me using those skills every day.

What advice would you give current students or recent grads interested in pursuing a career in your professional field? My advice would be to take advantage of our greatest community resource. CCBC is the perfect way to continue your education with your credits easily transferring to a four-year college.
