Hello friends!

Today, on the day of my nursing exam, the bus that I take to school decided to be 45 minutes late. That meant that I got to school 20 minutes after my exam started, frazzled and incredibly anxious, I then had to interrupt my classmates, sit down and finally take the exam. As you could probably guess, it’s been a rough day and the day has barely begun.

But that’s not what I wanted to talk about today.

If you use any kind of SNS, you’ve probably noticed an abundance of posts from college students transferring to 4-year colleges. Firstly, congratulations to all my transferring friends. WOOHOO!!! You should be very proud of how far you’ve come, I’m really proud of you.

But this post is to all my friends who are feeling a little sad because, for whatever reason, they’ve been pushed back a semester or a year and are not where they want to be. I want this to serve as an encouragement. I know you made a timeline in your head and for whatever reason – be it failing a class, skipping a semester, or surviving a pandemic – you are now behind and now that timeline is being pushed further than you would’ve liked. Everything happens in its own time. You will graduate, you will transfer, and, in a few years, you will look back and realize that where you are is where you are supposed to be.

Keep your head up, you’re doing great!

See you next week.

p.s., go outside it’s nice out.
