Hello friends and happy Friday!

Do you remember that old advertisement that tried to discourage drug use and encourage substance abuse conversations with school-aged children? It said, “Too Cool To Do Drugs” and as you can see it backfired, badly.

I still giggle whenever I see the pencils but in a weird way, I guess it was a school trying to address substance abuse and mental health in their own way.

Anyway, it got me wondering about how different schools handle mental health discussions with students, teachers and faculty members.

Through CCBC I discovered ‘togetherall’ which is an interactive online space where students can come together to create a community. A huge plus is that’s it entirely anonymous.

I recently joined ‘togetherall’ and it has been wonderful to just have somewhere to go to that’s easily accessible and easy to navigate. The best part is that if you sign up with your CCBC email, ‘togetherall’ is free to use.

You don’t have to feel obligated to interact with anyone or post often. You can interact as little or as much as you’d like and join a community that matches your interests or that you feel connected to.

I hope this is helpful to someone.

p.s. look at the attached flyer.

See you next week.
