Everyone is familiar with Facebook and how we can transfer or find information through various newsfeeds that keep popping up on our screens. Some are informational, some entertaining, while others can be somewhat boring.

On a daily basis, there was this particular video which just kept showing up on my newsfeed and every time I read the title, I would remove it as thought, “that does not make sense”, till my curiosity got the better of me and also the fact that, if I watch it once, maybe it will finally stop haunting my Facebook page.

After watching the video, it changed my mindset on a lot of things and I actually went “hmmmmmmmm” and sat quietly for a long time wondering, how amazing this is. If everyone reacted in this way, we would be living in a much better world.

I have attached the link for everyone to see and even if you have watched it before, do watch it again. I often go through the video to remind myself, how easy it is to just waive off negativity.

Quote from David J. Pollay summarizes it all:

“Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they look for a place to dump it. And if you let them, they’ll dump it on you. So when someone wants to dump on you, don’t take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Believe me. You’ll be happier.”

It just so happened that on the following day, after watching the video, I was cut off on the highway by two vehicles. at different times, and instead of being really upset, I actually smiled to myself and wished them to have a blessed day. It changed my perspective towards people, so fellow students and anyone else who is reading this blog or have seen the video, what are you doing with garbage dumped unceremoniously on you by others!!!!!
