Are you majoring in a Health Care Profession? Whether you are planning a career in Nursing, Massage Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dental Hygiene, Veterinary Technology, Mental Health, or another healthcare profession, a new version of CMNS 101, Fundamentals of Communication, will benefit you and satisfy a general education requirement. This course focuses on various forms of communication in healthcare professions, including interactions with patients, families, and peers, as well as presentation situations.
What are the advantages of taking a course that is designed for your career Pathway? It covers the same content as other sections of the course, but relates the subject matter to specific issues and situations in certain professions. It also offers students the opportunity to participate in a general education course with others in similar career paths. Finally, CMNS 101 satisfies the Communication general education requirement for Health Care Career Professional majors.
