Hey folks,
I know going back to school has its challenges. Back in Middle and elementary , going to school was just a part of our life. School fit into our daily routines and it was just accepted. We had it made in our minds. Everything we had to do was planned out for them; all they had to do was show-up. Even getting to school was planned out for them. Whether it was riding a school bus, or your parents driving or walking you to school, it wasn’t an issue to think about. Our parents would make sure we had all our required requirements in-place and ready to go so, when we arrived at school we were ready and prepared. When we had questions or did not understand the material/assignments our parents or even our brothers and sisters which ever the case maybe would tutor us. In some cases they may have even did our assignments with us watching how they did it.
Later on we gradually started to have to become more and more independent from all the day-to-day personal tutoring we once had and took for granted. Now In college, it’s time to become more accountable for ourselves. We are slowly being introduced to the team work concepts. Working together with small groups of people, friends on class projects and home work assignments are teaching us how to work well together. It’s now very easy to realize how far behind one could get if her or she does not work together with others.
Good study habits is key to making the grades but, the last thing anyone wanted to do when one got home from school after an eight hour day was to study or do any home work.
Unlikely back then when there were many ways to break-up the day-to-day routines of school and study since most of us did not have jobs to worry about or anything else for the matter. Sports and after school events took the place of jobs. I guess that’s where the foundation of team work began.
School is generally a fun place to attend for everyone. It’s a place in which, to be with our friends and hang-out together or meet new people are the bylaws
I always am super anxious about coming back to school. I worry about what the year’s going to be like, if my classes are going to be hard, if all of my commitments outside of class are going to be too much. But the second I step back on campus, I’m always amazed at how normal it feels. CCBC definitely feels like home, and it’s so nice to be back. Classes began, Monday January 30, 2017. It’s also really nice to get back in touch with some friends. Some of the most amazing people go here, and I always enjoy getting to spend time with them. It’s almost like the winter never ended.
I know It’s just the Second week of classes, So… I’ve gathered these awesome quotes to guide you through the seven days of this week.
- “Sometimes you have to do what you don’t love, so that you can do what you love”.
- “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”- Eleanor Roosevelt
- “Make it happen”
- “Make today so awesome yesterday gets jealous”
- “Don’t look back, you’re not going that way”
- “If you want something you never had, you have to do something you’ve never done”

Awesome Ideas!!! “Back to school” to a lot of students(traditional or non-traditional) is always a huge deal. At least students at CCBC can feel comfortable knowing that a student like you is excited about it. Thanks!!!
Yes!!!! Finally someone I can connect with this semester. This is my first semester at CCBC and I just started reading your blog posts for the first time today, and I think you’ve done a very great job so far by keeping us (ccbc students) updated with whatever is going on in college.
