Baltimore Stories

Performing Arts at CCBC

2017-2018 Season

John Waters famously said, “I would never want to live anywhere but Baltimore. You can look far and wide, but you’ll never discover a stranger city with such extreme style. It’s as if every eccentric in the South decided to move north, ran out of gas in Baltimore, and decided to stay.”

For the coming year, Performing Arts at CCBC sets out to celebrate and explore (but never explain) the histories and communities that make up the Baltimore region. Featuring artists who were born in Baltimore and some who adopted it as their home, we search for inspiration and meaning in this distinctive and richly varied place.

Let School of Liberal Arts Dean Dr. Bill Watson fill you in about some of our planned activities in the season announcement below:

Check back with us here throughout the year, as we give you updates, behind-the-scenes glimpses, profiles of our artists, and whatever odd or unusual Baltimore tidbits we come across. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for event announcements. And of course, we want to know:

What’s your Baltimore story?
