While students across the United States are participating in online learning, we know that community college students are often the most vulnerable in a totally remote learning environment. Often juggling work, family and school obligations during normal times, community college students are now adding the stress of balancing employment, finances, health and safety, and helping their own children with online learning while still trying to manage their CCBC studies. The lack of adequate technology is also a significant impediment to navigating an unfamiliar remote learning environment.
At CCBC, we are doing our best to support students through these challenging times. I was privileged to share some of the college’s efforts in a recent interview with WYPR. I am happy to share with you that interview, “CCBC works to keep isolated students in school,” which aired Monday, April 20.
Stay safe, stay healthy and stay tuned!
