On Tuesday and Wednesday evening I checked my Simon account to see if there were updated grades. To my disappointment, there were zero new grades and I had to keep waiting.
First off, I had no clue when the grades were supposed to be posted, so I just randomly checked on Tuesday and Wednesday. I figured the grades would be up by Thursday so I decided to wait until then. On Thursday night I checked my Simon account for the third time and my grades were unveiled right before my eyes.
Hopefully that’s the proud face most of the students had after seeing their grades. My grades were exactly what I expected but I was still nervous, before checking, that I might have a different letter grade than I anticipated for one of my classes. Since I had 19 credits for my last semester, I had to check all seven letters carefully before I could be proud. I know there were students who were disappointed with some of their grades.
If so, take time to reflect on the class and try to learn from whatever went wrong. If you were satisfied with your grades, keep up the good work and push to be better during your next semester.
Lastly, if you have a grade that seems completely unfair or just plain wrong, email your professor and double-check. During my second semester at CCBC, I had a professor who gave me a “C” grade when I clearly knew that I had an “A” in the class. I had to email my professor and he admitted that there was a big mistake. It took 2 weeks for my transcript and GPA to be corrected but it all worked out in the end. All in all, if you feel that your grade is wrong, email your professor and double-check.
Hopefully everyone received the grades they desired. Have a great summer! If you are graduating from CCBC, Congrats!
