Linda Chambers (Director) is an adjunct faculty member in Stevenson University’s Theatre & Media Performance Department.  She teaches scriptwriting at Carver Center for Arts & Technology.  Her five previous shows in Cockpit’s Cabaret include The Tale of The Allergist’s Wife and An Inspector Calls.  She directs frequently at SU (Trojan Women, Light Up The Sky, Two Rooms) as well as other venues throughout the city, including CCBC Essex (The Menaechmi Twins) and University of Baltimore (The Shape of Things).  Next up is The Nether at SU, February 2017.

G. Maurice “Moe” Conn, III (Scenic & Lighting Designer) has an MFA in Scene Design and Technical Theatre. After spending the last 10 years as an Associate Professor in rural Southeast Kentucky teaching technical theatre at the University of the Cumberlands, Moe decided it was time to move back to the city and more theatre opportunities.  Moe has been doing technical theatre since 1993 as a Designer, Technician, Technical Director, Educator and Rigger in Kentucky, Nebraska, New York, and Missouri.  His design credits include The Boys Next Door, Oklahoma!, The Secret Garden, and A Christmas Carol, to name a few.  Moe has even worked with Sapsis-Rigging Inc. during Fashion Week in New York City.  When not backstage, Moe can be found helping coordinate the Long Reach Long Riders cross country charity motorcycle ride to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity fights AIDS and ESTA’s Behind the Scenes. For more information and how you can help, go to www.LRLR.org.

Eva Grove (Costume Designer) was hired to be Costume Coordinator last year for Cockpit-in-Court’s Don’t Drink The Water, and she must have done a good job because they asked her back! She loves being involved with the theater both behind the scenes, as a choreographer and dresser, and in front of the footlights, as a singer and dancer. But working with costumes calls on other fun, hidden talents including: being a seamstress, a sense of design and an eye for color, and shopping for clothes. Eva’s life outside the theater is mother to three and wife to one, dance coach to the amazing TwirlTasTix baton twirling team, and Activity Assistant to her friends at Brightview Assisted Living.

Jim Lefter (Sound Designer) was a producer and editor with Discovery Networks and on the A&E television series, Random 1. He’s currently the President of The New Thought Channel, a streaming television channel on Roku and Amazon Fire TV. He’s the Communications Coordinator for CCBC’s School of Liberal Arts.

Miles Lawlor (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be making his Cockpit in Court debut alongside Linda Chambers, Anna Steuerman, and the rest of this fantastic cast. He is a technical theatre major here at CCBC Essex and previously stage managed this past spring’s The Menaechmi Twins, working alongside Linda Chambers and Anna Steuerman, as well. In stage managingThe Menaechmi Twins, Miles was awarded the CCBC Student Life Academic Award for Outstanding Achievement in Theatre (Production and Design). He has also stage managed other plays such as Medea and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde while a student at Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts, winning the Cappies of Baltimore 2015 award for Best Stage Crew for the latter. He will be stage managing CCBC Essex’s production of Macbeth this fall semester. He would like to thank Linda for asking him to work with her again, the cast and crew, and his parents for all their love and support.
