Ryann Reich (Alex, The Lion)_BlogRYANN NICOLE REICH (Alex) is excited to be in her 2nd production with Cockpit in Court this summer.  You may have recently seen Ryann playing lovable Timon in CPM’s  The Lion King, Jr.  Ryann also enjoyed being part of Elf Jr., The Musical (Ensemble) & last summer’s production of Mulan Jr. Chi-fu). Ryann would like to thank Mrs. Liz for casting her in this role and helping her find love on the stage.  Enjoy the wonders of Madagascar everyone!
Grace Glennon (Marty, The Zebra)_BlogGRACE GLENNON (Marty/Dance Captain) is ecstatic to be part of the Madagascar cast.  She recently appeared as a Jet Girl in West Side Story and Nala in The Lion King, Jr., both at CPM.  She will be a freshman at Notre Dame Prep in the fall and looks forward to being in the chorus and studying math and science.  She has loved working with her fellow cast mates, Ms. Liz, Ms. Patty, Ms. Donna, Rachel and Tiffany.  She hopes you enjoy the show and have a “crack-a-lackin” time.

Some of her favorite shows she’s done at CPM are James and the Giant Peach (Sponge) and Lion King Jr. (Sarabi). Jules Einhorn (Melman, The Giraffe)_BlogJULES EINHORN (Melman) is very excited to be in Madagascar! Jules is an upcoming Sophomore in the acting prime at Carver Center. Credits include The Lion King (Simba), The Addams Family (Pugsley), Emma! A Pop Musical (Phillip), The Little Mermaid (King Triton), Honk Jr! (Drake), and Sister Act (Pablo). Jules would like to thank his parents for everything they do and Ms. Liz for this wonderful opportunity!
Bella Comotto_BlogBELLA COMOTTO (Skipper) is very excited to be in Madagascar!  She recently appeared in Sleeping Beauty (Flora), Lion King Jr. (Hyena/Ensemble), Elf Jr. (Elf/Ensemble), and Music Man (Amaryllis). She has done 2 professional CPM shows and this is her first at Cockpit!  Bella is about to enter the 5th grade and is on her school safety patrol. Thanks to her voice teacher, Ms. Rebecca Rossello for teaching her things she never knew! And a BIG thanks to Ms. Liz for this wonderful opportunity and the cast and crew for making this show crack a lackin’!
Evelyn Acerno_BlogMAEVE ACERNO (Private) is delighted to be a cast member in her 5th Cockpit show, Madagascar Jr.! Maeve has also appeared in Seussical Jr., Annie, Little Mermaid Jr. and Mulan Jr. This season, with CPM, she performed in Crazy For You and for the first time, was a crew member for Lion King Jr., where she learned a lot about putting a show together from behind the scenes! In the fall, Maeve will be a 4th grader at Fountain Green Elementary, she dances with Rage Box Contemporary Dance Center and she enjoys drawing, writing stories and anything to do with Harry Potter! Maeve would like to thank the cast and crew, Mrs. Liz, Mrs. Patty, Tiffany and Rachel for all their hard work.

This is Evelyn’s 5th year performing with Cockpit, her first time being in Seussical Jr. when she was 4 yrs. old. She has also been in Cockpit in Court Jr. productions of Annie, Little Mermaid Jr. and Mulan Jr. This season she appeared in Crazy For You and Lion King Jr. with CPM. Evelyn will be going into 4th grade at Fountain Green Elementary in the fall, she is a dancer with Rage Box Contemporary Dance Center and loves to sing, dance, swim, play games and get dressed up! Sarah Ward (King Julien)_BlogSARAH WARD (King Julien) is thrilled to appear in Madagascar!  She is a 7th grade student at Perry Hall Middle School. She previously appeared in CPM’s The Lion King Jr., My Son Pinocchio and CPM’s Apprentice Performance of The Best Little Theater in Town.  She has also appeared in performances at church. Sarah enjoys playing the piano, singing, running track, reading, and spending time with her family.

(Maurice/Ensemble) is thrilled to be in her fourth Cockpit in Court show. She has also performed with CPM (5 times) and Pumpkin Theatre (3 times), where she is a member of the youth company, the Pumpkin Seeds. Her favorite roles have been as a soldier in Mulan, Jr. (Cockpit), when she did a stick dance; a Macy’s employee in Elf, Jr. (CPM); Piglet and Roo in Winnie the Pooh (Pumpkin); and Stuart Little in Stuart Little (Pumpkin). She has been dancing for 7 years and will be a 5th grader in the fall. Sofia would like to thank the cast and crew for an amazing experience.

(Mort/Ensemble) is excited to be performing in her first show with Cockpit in Court!  She has previously been seen with the Children’s Playhouse of Maryland in the ensemble of James and the Giant Peach, Crazy for You, Elf Jr., and The Lion King Jr. and is thrilled to have her first named role in Madagascar Jr. as Mort.  Molly will be entering 3rd grade at Hampton Elementary School and in addition to performing she enjoys playing sports. She would like to thank everyone at Cockpit in Court for this wonderful opportunity and her family for all of their support!

Erin Acerno (Ensemble) is excited to be taking a second spin on stage as a dancing lioness, this time in Madagascar, Jr.! This is Erin’s 5th year with Cockpit in Court, previously appearing in Seussical Jr., Annie, Little Mermaid Jr. and Mulan Jr. Erin also performs with CPM, her favorite roles being a tapping chimney sweep in Mary Poppins and a dancing lioness in Lion King, Jr. Erin is an honor roll student at Southampton Middle School and will be in 7th grade in the fall. She dances at Rage Box Contemporary Dance Center, is a reporter for Harford Cable Network’s Kids TV News, and serves on the board of a local nonprofit, the WeCancerve Movement. Erin would like to thank Mrs. Liz, Mrs. Patty, Tiffany, Rachel and the entire cast and crew for another fun experience!

Daniela Alvarez (Penguin) is excited to be a penguin in her third Cockpit in Court show. She has also performed with CPM as one of the smallest elves in Elf, Jr. She will be in 2nd grade in the fall. She is grateful to Ms. Liz for casting her, and to the cast and crew for making this such a great show.

Anna Bartel (Ensemble) this is Anna’s second Cockpit in Court production having appeared last summer in Mulan Jr.  She has also appeared in CPM’s James and the Giant Peach.  Anna loves musical theater, singing and dancing.  And her ambition is to become a fashion designer.  This fall Anna will enter the 5th grade at Roland Park Country School.  Anna would like to thank Ms. Liz, Ms. Patty, Tiffany and Rachel for another fun summer and opportunity to be on the stage!

Caroline Baux (Zookeeper Zoe/Ensemble) is ecstatic to be appearing in her first show with Cockpit in Court!  She has been seen previously as a Jellyfish in The Little Mermaid, a townsperson in Mary Poppins and a Who in Suessical the Musical.  When she’s not in the theater she likes to play softball, sing in her school choir, and is a Girl Scout Cadette. Caroline is a sixth grader at Our Lady of Mt Carmel School.  She thanks her parents and grandparents for their support in her theater aspirations!

Mara Jade “MJ” Beaumier (Ensemble) MJ is a 5th grader at Holabird STEM Middle School.  MJ keeps busy participating in Band, the Music and Movement Group and the Chesapeake Bay Watchers Club. She also dances with the TNT Dancers through the Middle River Recreation and Parks.  She started acting with the Children’s Playhouse of MD with summer camp in 2014 (High School Musical, Jr.).  Most recently she performed with CPM in Crazy For You and Elf, Jr. for their 2016-17 season.  She just finished an ensemble role in High School Musical, Jr. with the Drama Club at Holabird STEM.  MJ is thankful for the friendships and experience that she has gained through acting, and is grateful for the opportunity to learn and perform.  She would like to thank her family, teachers and friends for their on-going encouragement, love and support.

Nikolas Benashvili (Ensemble) is a 12 years old student of  the Pikesville Middle School.  He likes to act, sing, play piano, code computer  games. And, of course, he enjoys spending spare time with his family , big brother George and puddle Pele.

Melody Blahut (Ensemble) is excited to be spending her summer on stage with the cast of Madagascar. Most recently she performed in CPM’s production of West Side Story. Her favorite role is that of Vladimir in Dear Edwina. Melody will be attending Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts in the Fall. She would like to Thank Ms. Liz for believing in her, Ms. Anne for teaching her there is more to theater than acting on stage, Ms. Amanda for helping cure her of 2 left feet, and the cast, and crew of this amazing production.

Oliver Bressner (Ensemble) is grateful for having this opportunity on stage. Oliver will be a 5th grader at Chapel Hill ES.  Recently he’s performed as Winthrop in The Music Man at CCBC and his school’s production of Peter Pan as Indian Brave Shrub this year. Previously he’s played Kaa in The Jungle Book and ensemble in Frog And Toad. Oliver thanks the production team and patrons for their support.

Louisa Demers (Penguin) is excited to be making her debut theatre performance as one of those fun Penguins in Madagascar, Jr.  She is a 4th grader at Hampton Elementary School and enjoys gymnastics, playing the piano and hanging out with friends. Louisa would like to thank her family, friends & teachers for supporting her in this new experience. She would also like to thank Ms. Liz and the entire team for all their guidance and support. It has been an awesome experience!

Meredith Einhorn (Penguin) is so excited to be in her first show at Cockpit in Court.  She is an upcoming third grader at Summit Park Elementary School.  Meredith would like to thank her brother, Jules for encouraging her.  Meredith would also like to thank Ms. Liz for this great opportunity! Enjoy the show!

Emily Foggo (Penguin) is thrilled to be making her first stage appearance in this production of Madagascar Jr.!  She will be going into 1st grade at Hampton Elementary School and in addition to performing she enjoys gymnastics, dance and softball. She would like to thank everyone at Cockpit in Court for this wonderful opportunity and her family for all of their support!

Gabriella Galoni (Old Lady & Ensemble) is having a crack-a-lackin’ time in her first Cockpit in Court show. She was in the ensemble for CPM’s The Lion King and has enjoyed being a part of CPM’s apprentice company for two years. Ella is a student at Seneca Elementary and is active in softball, robotics, speed stacking, Girl Scouts, and performing with The Seneca Singers. Ella recently performed an original song she wrote at Seneca’s 50th Anniversary celebration.  Ella would like to thank Ms. Liz and everyone at Cockpit in Court for this opportunity.

Rose Glennon (Ensemble) is very thrilled to be in her 4th season at Cockpit.  Some of her favorite shows include West Side Story, Lion King, Jr. and Crazy for You, all with CPM. Rose loves studying tap, ballet, jazz, piano and voice.  She will be a 7th grader at Immaculate Conception School where she enjoys art and math.  Thanks Ms. Liz, Ms. Donna, Ms. Patty, Rachel and Tiffany for making this show possible.

Brooke Henshaw (Candy Hammernose/Ensemble) is thrilled to be cast in Madagascar.  This is her first production at Cockpit in Court. She was last seen in The Lion King at CPM and has also performed with the Apprentice Company in the Music Man (Marian) as the lead part.   Brooke would like to thank Ms. Liz, Rachel Miller, Tiffany, Patty and the cast members for the amazing production that could not happen without them.  “Let’s get crack a lackin!”

Calleigh Johnson (Ensemble) is excited to be appearing in Madagascar, Jr.! This is her debut theatre performance. Calleigh, age 9, also enjoys singing in the Children’s Chorus of Maryland, where she is part of the Lyric choir. She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her in this new experience! Calleigh would also like to thank Director, Liz Boyer Hunnicutt, as well as everyone who worked on this production to make it a success.

Laura E. Jones (Ensemble) makes her Cockpit debut in the production of Madagascar, Jr.  She is thrilled to join the cast for this wonderful production.  Laura brings singing and dancing talents to the summer stage following roles in middle school performances of Suessical, Godspell, Jr. and Little Mermaid Jr.  Laura currently attends Dulaney High School and loves everything about the theatre.  Her favorite place to visit is New York City and she hopes to see Cats on Broadway sometime later this summer.

Seth Lindt (Ensemble) is 11 years old and going into the 7th grade.  Seth is excited about his first appearance with the Cockpit in Court Summer Theatre.  In addition to acting and singing he likes reading, fishing and playing sports.  Seth can be found on baseball fields with his friends and travel team, the LTRC Comets.  He is the 3rd baseman and pitcher.  Seth is thankful to be a part of Madagascar Jr. and he hopes you enjoy the show.

Julia Morgereth (Ensemble) is 13 years old and appeared in her first production at Sky Is the Limit at 10 months old as Baby Snow in Carousel. Twelve years and 36 shows later, she is still loving it. Her favorite roles include July in Annie Jr., Augusta in Willy Wonka, Gretl in Sound of Music and Tiny Tim in Scrooge. Julia is also in The Sky Show Choir and On A High Note. She wants to thank Ms. Liz, Ms. Debbie, Mommy and would like to wish her cast mates a great show.

Abisola Osho (Ensemble) is 8 years old and extremely proud and excited to be in her 1st production with The Cockpit in Court Jesters and the cast of Madagascar. In her free time, Abisola enjoys reading, playing outside, and making new inventions. She will be a 4th grader this fall at Chapel Hill Elementary. She would like to thank her family for their constant love and support.

Anike Osho (Ensemble) is 10 years old and extremely proud and excited to be joining the summer production of Madagascar with The Cockpit in Court Jesters. Anike lives in Perry Hall with her family and attends Chapel Hill Elementary. She will be a fifth grader this fall and her favorite subject is reading. Anike first appeared on stage in the cast of Peter Pan at Chapel Hill Elementary. She would like to thank her family for their constant love and support.

Molly Parker (Ensemble) is excited to make her Cockpit in Court debut in Madagascar, Jr. Molly is a soon-to-be 6th grader at Perry Hall Middle School who loves acting, singing, and dancing. Some of her previous performances include: Tinkerbell (Peter Pan Jr.) with Mustangs Off Broadway, as well as, Baloo the Bear (The Jungle Book) and Mouse (A Year with Frog and Toad) with CPM’s Apprentice Company.  Molly would like to thank Ms. Amanda for her inspiration over the years. She would also like to thank Mrs. Liz, Mrs. Patty, Rachel, and Tiffany for giving her the chance to be part of this awesome group. It’s showtime!

Mason Petr (Zookeeper Zeke/ Ensemble) would like to thank Mrs. Liz, Mrs. Patty, Rachel, Ms. Tiffany, Mrs. Donna, and the rest of the Cockpit family for everything they’ve done to make this amazing show possible! When he’s not on the stage, you can be sure to find Mason on the soccer field with his teammates. Making his debut with Cockpit in Court last summer, Mason was excited to play Fa-Zhou in Mulan Jr. It is an honor to now be enjoying his second appearance with Cockpit, after performing in Elf Jr. and The Lion King Jr. with CPM last season. Mason thanks everyone for their support and effort in getting him to and from rehearsals, especially Mom and Dad!

Summer Reed (Server, Lemur, Zoo Guest) is 12 years and has performed in several children’s productions including Alice in Wonderland Jr., Annie Jr.The Lion King Jr., and has participated in the Oregon Ridge Dinner Theatre productions of Cinderella, Thumbelina, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as well as Babes in Toyland performed yearly at the Kraushaar Theatre. She is an 8 year student of piano and competes in competitions as well as performances for retirement homes. Singing is one of her passions.

Maggie Rubin (Penguin) is excited to make her musical theater debut as a penguin in Madagascar Jr. Maggie is heading into third grade at the Wilkes School in Mt. Vernon, where she is in the school chorus. She is also a member of the Baltimore Children’s Choir.

Mia Saraceno  (Ensemble) Mia is a 4th grader at Villa Cresta Elementary School.  She enjoys participating in Drama Club, the Running Club and Chess Club at school. Mia also dances with Dance X-treme and plays basketball at the Parkville Recreation and Parks.  She has received music instruction with church choir the past 5 years.  Mia started performing with the Children’s Playhouse of MD with summer camp in 2014 (High School Musical Jr.).  She also has participated in workshops with the Young Performers of America in New York City.  Mia is exited for the opportunities and new experiences with directors and peers at Cockpit in Court.

Claire Schafer (Zookeeper Zelda/Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of this show.  Claire is a rising 6th grader at Notre Dame Prep who loves being on stage.  Some of her favorite roles include Young Nala in The Lion King Jr. and Ensemble in Crazy for You both with CPM.  She also loved being Wendy in her school’s performance of Peter Pan Jr.  She would like to thank Mrs. Liz, Mrs. Patty, Rachel and Tiffany for helping us perform this Crack-a-lackin show!

Rachel Ward (Penguin) is so excited to appear in Madagascar! She is a 3rd grade student at Chapel Hill Elementary School. She previously appeared in CPM’s My Son Pinocchio and CPM’s Apprentice Performance of Sleeping Beauty.  She has also appeared in performances at church. Rachel enjoys singing, playing soccer, and spending time with her family.

Liz Boyer Hunnicutt (Director) is thrilled to return to the Court Jesters having directed Camp Rock, Seussical Jr., Annie Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., and last season’s Mulan Jr. Also an actor, you can see Liz in this season’s Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike in the cabaret theatre in July. Liz is the Resident Director for the The Children’s Playhouse of MD in residence here at CCBC. Offstage, she likes to spend time with husband, James.

Patricia DeLisle (Musical Director) returns to Cockpit after being the musical director last summer for Mulan Jr. and the Musical Director last fall for Forever Plaid for the DCT fundraiser. She has recently done Songs for A New World at Parkville High and The Secret Garden for the Memorial Players in Bolton Hill. Patty is the Minister of Music for Saint Matthew Catholic Church, accompanies vocal students at Towson University and choirs from various high schools.

Tiffany Zellner (Stage Manager) is a junior theatre major at York College of PA. This is her second time stage managing a show, some of her favorite on stage credits include; Les Miserables, A Chorus Line, and Grease with CPM, Story Theatre and Mr. Burns at YCP, and Legally Blonde at PFT. She would like to thank Liz, Diane and the rest of the production team for being patient with her. She would like to send out a HUGE shout out to her mother, Donna Flaharty, for being the best assistant on this show and one upping her every step of the way!

Donna Flaharty (Assistant Stage Manager, Light Board Operator) this is Donna’s Assistant Stage Managing debut with Cockpit in Court. Donna has done tech for various Cockpit Shows in the past. Typically she runs lights for Children’s Playhouse of MD for the past seven years. She would like to thank Liz, Diane, and everyone else who is part of the production staff for this opportunity. A special thank you to Tiffany, her daughter, for guiding her through the process.

Rachel Miller (Choreographer) is thrilled to be back choreographing her second show for Cockpit in Court. Rachel was the choreographer for Mulan, Jr., last summer, a show for which she also portrayed the lead character, Mulan. Rachel performers regularly with the Children’s Playhouse of Maryland where she serves as their Resident Dance Captain. She most recently appeared as Anita in their production of West Side Story. Rachel attends The John Carroll School where she is active in their theatre department, choir and a capella choir, Bella Voce. She has performed with numerous other theatre companies, including Phoenix Festival, Dundalk Community Theatre and Pumpkin Theatre. Rachel plans to pursue a career in dance education and choreography.

Diane M. Smith (Technical Director, Set, Lighting and Sound Designer) just finished Co-Stage Managing and Assistant Directing Cockpit’s Arsenic and Old Lace.  Diane is a 1982 graduate of CCBC Essex and has been working for Cockpit since 1978 in many capacities both technical and artistic. In 2008 Diane received the Most Distinguished Alumni Award from CCBC for her contributions to the Baltimore Theatre Community and her work with young people in the Arts. By day, Diane is the Theatre Instructor and Artistic Director for the Award Winning Theatre Arts Program at Beth Tfiloh High School in Owings Mills, where she was awarded “Teacher of the Year” honors for 2011.  Diane also proudly serves as the Artistic Director for the Award Winning – ‘Children’s Playhouse of Maryland’ that is in residence at CCBC Essex.  She currently resides in Timonium with her 20 year old daughter, Nicole and husband, Jerry Smith. She would like to dedicate her work on this show in loving memory of Ellie Goldenberg.

Laura Miller (Scenic Artist) Laura has a BFA in graphic design from the Maryland Institute, College of Art (MICA) and is the Resident Scenic Artist for the Children’s Playhouse of Maryland. She has worked with Cockpit in Court for the past 9 seasons both for the Court Jesters as well as several main stage productions. Laura works in the Creative Arts department at Beth Tfiloh Community School, is the office administrator for the Baltimore Theatre Awards and does graphic design and fundraising work for the Children’s Playhouse of Maryland.

Sharon Byrd (Costumer) is in her 4th season with Cockpit in Court as the costumer. She has truly enjoyed working with the cast and crew of Madagascar Jr. She would like to thank all of her wonderful Costume Moms for all that they do.
