She has performed in many main stage productions elsewhere such as The Wedding Singer, Eastland, Annie, The Addams Family, and Shrek the Musical at Patapsco High School & Center for the Arts, Cinderella and Dream Girls at Y.A.T.T.A.S. (Young Artists Training To Achieve Success! Performing Arts Camp), OZ! The Great and Powerful, Totally Awesome 80’s! At Middle River Middle School Lion’s Theatre, and Once on this Island at Lincoln Diverse Theatre.

BROADUS NESBITT, III (Second) is a freshman theatre major at CCBC. He starred in The Verge as Anthony. He has directed and written his own play at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute as well as being a part of the film club. He is represented by M.T.M. agency and has a background in modeling. He is also a Youtuber who plans to draw in an audience with his short skits. He want to transfer to Towson for the theatre major track. Although he loves acting, he has a passion for animals and would like to become a professional reptile breeder all while maintaining his acting career.

NEKKA SANDERS (Third) is performing in her first ever CCBC production. Her major is engineering/undecided. She has been in a few high school productions such as A New World, She Kills Monsters and Lost in Yonkers.

ANTOINE WILLIAMS (Old Man) is a 23 year old student. A long time lover of the performing arts, Antoine has spent nearly 13 years on the stage in one capacity or another. Whether he was singing in Europe, dancing on stage, serving in his church and many others, accompanying and instructing his middle school chorus, or comedy videos via social media, the theater seems to be a natural place for him to be. He has performed in major roles in The Uprising Plays and The Verge. He majors in Theater with a focus in Directing and Acting.

TERRELL CHAMBERS (Hero/Ulysses) returns in his second production with CCBC’s theatre department. He was previously seen in Working: A Musical at CCBC. Terrell is currently a first-year student at CCBC majoring in Theatre (Acting) and he plans on transferring to either Towson University or UMBC to continue his education in the Performing Arts. After college, Terrell plans on becoming a professional actor. He would like to thank his family & friends, the cast & crew, and director.

CARLI WHITE (Penny) is a student at CCBC. Carli studied theatre at Catonsville High School. Last semester she stage managed CCBC’s production of Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. She has also been an assistant costume designer and crew member. As a child she was a ballerina for many years. She performed in The Nutcracker, Black Swan, and other ballet performances.

TIRRELL BETHEL (Homer) returns to CCBC after the production of The Mojo and The Sayso playing as Pastor. This is his 4th year at CCBC and is currently a double major in both Theatre and Digital Media and is also curious about animation. Tirrell is excited but nervous about playing such a complex character as Homer. He plans on transferring to Towson or UMBC and has high hopes of being in movies (we can pray on that) as well as making his own movies and anything theatre based. Tirrell would like to give a special thanks to his family who all have supported him, his girlfriend, as well as the cast and crew and anyone else who helped for being awesome and hardworking individuals. He is honestly super grateful to work with such talented and beautiful people inside and out.

FRANCESCO LEANDRI (Colonel) is acting for his first time in a full production. His major is Secondary Education. He’s has some past theatrical experience from high school, acting in a 24 hour play, and set construction for East Land at Patapsco High School. He hopes you enjoy the show and understand the weight of the characters.

JORDAN DAMON (Smith) is performing for the second acting in a CCBC production, with The Uprising Plays as his first. His major is Economics. In his free time he enjoys playing Overwatch, learning Chinese, and writing scripts.

JEWEL CALDWELL (Assistant Director/Third Runaway) graduated from the Baltimore School for the Arts as a vocal performance major. She has been involved in everything from theater to studio production. She is grateful for the opportunities presented by all of her mentors as well as her family for making this experience as her debut in directing possible.

JESSICA MATTHIAS (Second Runaway) From the beautiful island of St. Thomas, Jessica Matthias makes her first appearance on the CCBC stage as the Second Runaway. This is her performance in a play ever. However, she has starred in “In My Mind”, a CCBC short film, as Gina. Jessica is a theatre major here at CCBC Essex and she plans to continue her theatre career at UMBC this upcoming spring.

SARAH CIVIL ATJI (First Runaway) is debuting at CCBC Essex in Father Comes Home from the Wars. A foreign language professor, she has moved to the US in the Fall 2018 from France to teach at Goucher College. Back home she was part of an amateur theatre company and has performed for the community. She now plans to pursue a degree in theatre and develop skills as a non-professional actor while exploring theatre in her pedagogy as a teacher. She would like to thank her husband and children for their support and contagious energy.

NICK WYNN (Oddsee Dog) is in his second year at CCBC and has not chosen a major yet. This is the first theater production he has ever been a part of as he was previously involved with interscholastic sports such as badminton and baseball at Towson High School and CCBC Dundalk. He took an interest in theater during his time in Julie Lewis’ Theater 101 class and was persuaded to audition for . Sure enough, he was found to make a good dog. Nick’s main focus besides the production is music. He has been working with his friends on their band, Kratom Leeks, and would like to encourage you to take a listen on various streaming services as well as follow their social medias @kratomleeks.

THOMAS POTTS (Guitarist) is a music performance student at CCBC, in partial preparation for his goal of admittance to Peabody Conservatory. He has studied classical guitar with Dr. Jeremy Lyons for nearly 10 years, and has received awards at the Beatty Competition, the Salisbury Guitar Festival, and the prestigious New England Music Camp. More recently, Thomas was featured as a soloist with the Baltimore Symphonic Band for a series of concerts showcasing the music from the acclaimed musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
