SHANE LOWRY (Chad/Properties Master) is thrilled to be back on the Cockpit stage! He was last seen on the Essex stage in Gypsy as Tulsa and in Hairspray as Link Larkin. You may have recently seen him as Sky in DCT’s Mamma Mia. Other stage credits include: Mortiz (Spring Awakening), Danny (Grease), Prince/Wolf (Into the Woods), Sonny (Xanadu), and Matt (The Fantansticks). Shane would like to thank Mom and Dad for their love and a shout out to Emily, Megan, Lizzie, and Connor for your support and friendship! Enjoy the show!!!
JOHN ANDREW (Scott) is excited to be making his debut with Cockpit and Court. He was more recently seen in Heritage Player’s concert version of Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street in Catonsville, MD. Prior to that, he was the commissioner and a ball player in Damn Yankees with Pasadena Theatre Company. Credits include Annie (Rooster), Scrooge the Musical (Robert Cratchet), Beauty and the Beast (Monsieur D Argue), Little Mermaid (Flotsam), Seussical (Genghis khan Schmitz), Secret Garden (Fakir), RENT (Roger Davis), and Meet Me In St. Louis (John Truitt). Other credits include Company and Barefoot in the Park. A big thanks to Todd and the rest of the cast and crew for allowing me to be part of such a great production. Enjoy the show!
BRIAN JACOBS (Professor Ted Scheider) returns to the Cockpit stage, where he was last seen as Chef Louis in The Little Mermaid. He has also been seen as Sylvia St. Croix in Ruthless!, Mal Beinecke in The Addams Family, Hannah in La Cage Aux Folles, Jerry in The Full Monty, and Jim in All Shook Up. When he’s not here, he can be found sailing the murky waters of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor as Jellyfish Jenkins with Urban Pirates.
DARREN MCDONNELL (Tony) last appeared on the Cockpit stage as Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace. Darren received a Helen Hayes Award nomination for his portrayal of Sir Robin in Spamalot at Tobys in Columbia. Recent credits include: And The World Goes Round with Salem Players, Harry Bright in Mamma Mia, Captain Hook in Peter Pan, all at Toby’s. Other credits: Dan in Next to Normal, Carmen Ghia in The Producers, Bob Wallace in White Christmas, Zoser in Aida and Victor Prynne in Private Lives.
CARLY J. AMATO (Marianne) is thrilled to be returning to the Cockpit stage for the first time since The Goodbye Girl in 1996! She recently appeared in 1776 (Martha), Chess, and The Winter Wonderettes (Suzy) at Tidewater Players in Havre de Grace, where she currently lives with her love John and their zoo of pets. Other favorite past roles include Little Red in Into the Woods (DCT), Lucy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Mornington Players), and Trix in Drowsy Chaperone (DCT). Off the stage Carly works in Immunogenetics and Histocompatibility, and is beginning the pursuit of her PhD in Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis in August. She is incredibly grateful to Todd, Mike, John C, Sammy, and this amazingly talented cast for their direction, encouragement and friendship, and to John for his ceaseless love and support!
LISA PASTELLA (Sister Mary Downy) is excited to return to the Cockpit stage for the second time. Last seen as Mazeppa in Gypsy, Lisa has appeared on stages across the region. Recent favorite roles include Pennywise (Urinetown), Narrator (Joseph…), Melpomene (Xanadu), Sister Hubert (Nunsense) and Georgie (The Full Monty). When not performing, Lisa is a teacher at John Ruhrah ES/MS in Greektown.
LIZ BOYER HUNNICUTT (Shirley) returns to Cockpit after having appeared as Juanita in last season’s Come Back to the Five & Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean. Cockpit audiences over the years may remember her in Vanya, Sonia, Masha & Spike (Sonia), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Mrs. Meers), Blood Brothers (Mrs. Johnstone), Tale of the Allergist’s Wife (Marjorie), Crimes of the Heart (Lenny), Mame (Vera), The Goodbye Girl (Paula), They’re Playing Our Song (Sonia), The Gazebo (Nell Nash), Curtains (Carmen), The Inspector Calls (Mrs. Birling), The Will Roger’s Follies (Betty Blake), Evita (Eva), Urinetown (Miss Pennywise), and The Full Monty (Georgie) to name a few. Some of her favorite shows elsewhere include Sweeney Todd (Mrs. Lovett), Into the Woods (The Baker’s Wife), Gypsy (Mama Rose), Merrily We Roll Along (Mary), Anyone Can Whistle (Fay Apple) and The Rainmaker (Lizzie). She is directing this season’s Court Jester’s production of Disney’s Aladdin, Jr. Liz is the Resident Director for the The Children’s Playhouse of MD in residence here at CCBC. Offstage, she likes to spend time with her favorite person on the planet – her husband, James.
JEFF BURCH (Maury) last appeared on the Cockpit stage in Sister Act and is delighted to be back and working with this talented and terrific group of people. Other area productions include Cabaret, Bridges of Madison County, La Cage aux Folles, Me and My Girl, The Drowsy Chaperone, Titanic, Twelve Angry Men, Curtains, Follies, Ragtime, Game Show, Forever Plaid, Crazy for You, Oklahoma, 42nd Street, and The Full Monty, just to name a few.
RIKKI HOWIE LACEWELL (Levora Verona) is excited to be back on the Cockpit stage. Last seen in Sister Act at Cockpit as Deloris Van Cartier. An avid performer/director in the DMV area favorite roles have been Matron Mama Morton in Keegan Theater’s Helen Hayes nominated Chicago. Currently choreographing Hairspray for Rockville Musical Theater opening July 5. Next endeavors are choreographing Wild Party and directing Motherhood Out Loud and Fences.
LAUREN SPENCER HARRIS (Jackie) has been a theatre educator, performer, and arts advocate for the past 20 years. She holds her BFA in Theatre from the Boston Conservatory with an emphasis in Directing. She also carries her M.Ed from Concordia University in Education. As a performer, Lauren has been seen regionally in many productions. Recent credits include Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd and Dot in Sunday in the Park with George. She has been the director of numerous high school theatre programs and is a member of the theatre faculty at Harford Community College. She is a musical theatre enthusiast and has a strong background in vocal performance and dance. She is thrilled to back on the Cockpit stage,
LIAM HAMILTON (Ben/Lisa) is excited to be making his Cockpit in Court debut. A student at the Waldorf School of Baltimore, he recently had his first professional acting experience playing Christian Bechdel in Baltimore Center Stage’s production of Fun Home. Previously, he played Schwartz in A Christmas Story with Charm City Players. Liam would like to thank director Todd Pearthree for this wonderful opportunity, and his weird but highly entertaining and loving family for their support.
TOM WYATT (Jake/Ensemble) In recent years, Tom has been the director and choreographer for several Cockpit productions including Sister Act, Me and My Girl, The Secret Garden and Curtains. He has been seen (as an actor) upstairs in The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife and The Gazebo. Many years ago, he was a dancer in Todd’s productions of Pippin and Mack & Mabel, and it’s been fun to “return to the past!”
FIONA CROWLEY (Wealthy Woman/Ensemble) is thrilled to join Cockpit after a long musical theater hiatus. Favorite credits are Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors (Weston Playhouse, CT) Maria in The Sound of Music (Ridgefield Theater Barn, CT), and Dolores in Olympus On My Mind (Danbury Actors’ Repertory Prep ,CT). She is co-host of Baltimore’s late night variety show Everybody all the Time with Linda & Polly, and can soon be heard performing with husband Mark Colegrove in Baltimore’s acoustic duo, Dāme Barlowe.
ALBERT J. BOEREN (Wealthy Man/Taxi Driver/Ensemble) Albert returns to the Cockpit stage having last been seen here as the police investigator in The Gazebo. Having first appeared on the Cockpit stage in 1979 in Bye, Bye Birdie, Albert has been in numerous productions including Sunset Blvd. (Sheldrake), Singin’ in the Rain (Dexter), Hairspray (Mr. Pinky), Curtains (Sidney), How to Succeed…. , Camelot and Love, Sex and the I.R.S. (Mr. Jansen). Albert will appear in The Unexpected Guest in the Cabaret in July. He has also directed Cockpit’s productions of Social Security, The Odd Couple and Don’t Drink the Water. Directing credits also include Brighton Beach Memoirs (DCT), several productions of Godspell, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Bye, Bye Birdie, Arsenic and Old Lace (4 times), Meet Me in St. Louis, and Barnum. Favorite stage roles include Harold Hill (The Music Man), Rooster (Annie), Epstein (Biloxi Blues), Albert (Bye, Bye, Birdie), and Clifton (1940’s Radio Hour). He works for ProCare Ambulance. Albert has been married for 34 years to the love of his life, Lisa, and is the proud father of two fantastic children, Andrew and Angela.
RACHEL VERHAAREN (Blind Woman/Ensemble) is excited to return to Cockpit in Court after last appearing here in Thoroughly Modern Millie in 2015. Most recently, Rachel played Frenchie in Cabaret at Vagabond Players and was part of the female ensemble in Catch Me If You Can at Dundalk Community Theatre. Rachel would like to thank her husband, Alex, for his patience and endless support.
OLIVIA AUBELE (Tracy/Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of this production of Disaster! She was last seen on the DCT stage in Mamma Mia! She was recently nominated for a Cappie for her Ensemble performance of The Goddess of Love, Erzulie, in Once On This Island at Notre Dame Prep where she is a junior. No stranger to local audiences, she has played Lina Lamont in Singin’ in the Rain; Patsy in Crazy for You! ; Teen Fiona in Shrek; Sister Mary Robert in Sister Act!; Emma in Emma!; and Gabrielle the stepsister in Cinderella. Other roles include Oliver in Oliver!; Mazie in Seussical!; Ermangarde in Hello Dolly!; Amaryllis in The Music Man; and Marta in The Sound of Music. She recently made her NYC debut at Joe’s Pub performing as a soloist in the Cabaret “All you need is love!” She has performed locally for CPM, Patapsco High School, DCT, and The Vagabonds! She studies voice with Jenn Viets, Piano with Amy Kwon and Dance with Julie Foley at Upper Falls Dance Academy. Look for her in Cockpit’s next mainstage production of Nice Work If You Can Get It!
RYAN HOLMES (Chef/Ensemble) is a father to the best 4 & 6yr old in the world. He was in his first theatre production this past March; A Year with Frog & Toad with Dundalk Community Theatre.
CONNOR KISS (Victim/Ensemble) is super excited to be in his first production at Cockpit! Other theater productions include Tarzan at The John Carroll School, Hairspray at CPM, Chess at Tidewater Players, The Addams Family at PFT, and most recently Mamma Mia! at DCT. Connor is also going to be in Nice Work If You Can Get It at Cockpit later this summer. Connor would like to thank the cast and production team for such a fun experience!
TODD PEARTHREE (Director/Choreographer) 200 plus productions for Modell-Lyric, Theatre Hopkins at JHU, MD Arts Festival at TU, Peabody Opera Theatre, Gateway Playhouse, Center Stage, Lycoming College, Chateau DeVille, 11 Dinner Theatres (2 as Producer/Director), Pumpkin Theatre (Producer/Director for 8 years), and most local theatres.. Adjunct Professor for Peabody Conservatory, Lectured at Towson University (film) and Loyola College (Musical Theatre). 20 plus productions for Cockpit including Mame, Mack & Mabel, Pippin, Annie Get Your Gun, Amadeus, West Side Story, Angel Street, A Chorus Line and How To Succeed.
MICHAEL DEVITO (Music Director) National tours include: Wicked, The Color Purple, Mamma Mia!, Annie, Little Shop of Horrors, Menopause: The Musical, The Wiz. Mike served as the music supervisor for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s Holiday Spectacular and has appeared regularly with the BSO SuperPops. Some of his favorite credits include performing with Shirley Jones, Robert Goulet, John Waters, Jackie Evancho, George Takei, Martin Short, Keely Smith, Donald O’Connor, Warren Haynes and The Mills Brothers. Mike was the musical director for the Baltimore-based vocal quintet, Opus V.

COREY SEKULOW (Sound Designer) is trilled to be working on the crew for Disaster! His previous work experiences include the 2019 dance concert(CCBC) and Hair the musical (Mcdaniel College). Combined with his backstage work at Center Stage, previous employment at Towson University, and current employment at Revolution Events and Design’s Audio and lighting devision, he was asked to design and run the show. SAMMY JUNGWIRTH (Assistant Stage Manager) is so excited to be working on this show with this amazing group of people. Sammy is a 14 year old actor and technician at Children’s Playhouse of Maryland where he has been performing and helping out backstage for about 6 years. He is also a Stage Manager/Assistant Stage Manager and Set Designer for theaters in the community like Cockpit in Court, John Carroll, Beth Tfiloh, and more. This year he will attend George Washington Carver Center for the Arts and Technology where he will study production design. Later this summer, he will be designing the scenery for Disney’s Aladdin, Jr. In addition to his work, he has also been a part of multiple production teams that have won “cappie” awards for Backstage Crew and special effects design. One of his other favorite hobbies is playing the drums. Enjoy the show!
