WILL POXON (Nicky) has acted in, played drums for, and conducted the orchestra for many shows in the Baltimore area. His most recent production with Cockpit in Court was in 2016 as the orchestra director for Monty Python’s Spamalot! The role of Nicky in Avenue Q will always hold a special place in Will’s heart, because it was during the 2016 Phoenix Festival Theater production of the show when he got engaged to his now wife, Amanda Poxon. During that production, Will and Amanda were seen in the same role they are playing now.
SUZANNE ZACKER (Christmas Eve) is excited and honored to be playing Christmas Eve. As her Grandmother was an immigrate from Japan; she feels a connection to this character who has earned 2 masters degrees and is a proud, strong woman. Some of her favorite roles would have to include being in the American Idiot ensemble, being an ape in Tarzan and playing Nautica in Bring It On. She also had the pleasure of being in the ensemble of RENT, the Shoemaker’s Elf in Shrek and a mersister in The Little Mermaid. When Tigga is not doing theater she is teaching dance classes or crafting and creating balloon decor.
WILL MEISTER (Trekkie Monster) was most recently seen in Tidewater Players’ production of 1776: The Musical as Dr. Lyman Hall. He is a BFA in Acting student at Towson University, where he appeared in mainstage productions of How I Learned To Drive (Male Greek Chorus) and Pride & Prejudice (Sir William Lucas). He joins Cockpit In Court for his first show on their mainstage, and fondly remembers playing Gaston many years ago in the summer Court Jesters’ production of Beauty and the Beast Jr. Favorite and relatively recent community credits include: The Complete History of America (abridged) (Reed Martin) and Our Town (George Gibbs) at Vagabonds, and the Green Globe Theatre’s production of Hamlet (Fortinbras). He is so fucking excited to be doing this wonderful show with all the other “repeat offenders” from the Phoenix Festival Theatre cast, and he sends love to all the Sams, Bacons, Meisters, and Ludwigs in his life.
ANGIE SOKOLOV (Bad Idea Bear) Angie is thrilled to be back onstage performing with the cast and crew of Avenue Q. Angie holds a BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University and lived and performed in New York City for many years. When not performing on stage Angie can be found singing more G-rated songs in the classroom to her preschool students at Fallston Community Pre-K and Garrison Forest School. She would like to thank Steven for his unwavering support and encouragement. And to Sasha and Waverly, (who will never see this show) for the hours of Sesame Street that they made her endure to prepare for this role!
