RACHEL MILLER (Mulan) is thrilled to be playing the part of Mulan and choreographing her first production! This is Rachel’s 8th season with Cockpit in Court. Rachel most recently appeared as Morticia Addams in the Children’s Playhouse production of The Addams Family.  She received a Baltimore Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for her role as Wednesday Addams, with The John Carroll School, in March!  Rachel has performed with the Children’s Playhouse of Maryland since age 8 and has acted as their Resident Dance Captain since the age of 10. Besides Cockpit, CPM and John Carroll, Rachel has also performed with The Vagabond Players, Dundalk Community Theatre, Pumpkin Theatre and Notre Dame Prep.  Rachel is incredibly grateful to Mrs. Liz for entrusting her with this role and the choreography!  Aside from her time on the stage, Rachel is active in Chorus and A Capella Choir at The John Carroll School, and was recently inducted into the National Art Honor Society!

ATHENA CLAUDIO (Mushu) is an IB (International Baccalaureate) Magnet Program student & National Honor Society president. She is active in her school’s volleyball team, dance team, concert choir & drama club.  She has performed in musicals at school where she played the lead roles: Annie in Annie, Cinderella in Cinderella, & Narrator in Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Past performances with CPM include Hello Dolly & Les Miserables. Athena loves the performing arts – theater, dance, music, and she would like to thank all her mentors past & present for honing her talents in these areas.

CHARLIE HOLT (Shang) is happy to be performing at Summer Cockpit in Disney’s Mulan Jr. Charlie recently graduated from The Baltimore School for the Arts where he studied theatre. He will be attending Marymount Manhattan College in New York City where he has been accepted into their BFA Program for Acting. You may have seen him in two recent favorite roles as Bert in Mary Poppins and Caracticus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at The Children’s Playhouse of MD. Special thanks to Mrs. Liz, the production staff and the parent volunteers for all your hard work. Enjoy the show!

COLLEEN BEYER (Ancestor – Laozi) is delighted to be in her first Cockpit in Court production.  Colleen has been acting since she was four, but Mulan Jr. quickly became her favorite production.   She would like to thank her parents for their support, Ms. Liz for believing in her and Ms. Sharon for the amazing costumes.  She would also like to thank the entire cast and crew for making Mulan Jr. her favorite!!

SOPHIE CLAUDIO (Ancestor – Lin) is in the 6th Grade at Parkville Middle (Magnet Program). She has done 4 shows with CPM – Hello Dolly, My Son Pinocchio, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, James & the Giant Peach and has also performed in The Little Mermaid at Cockpit in Court. Aside from musical theater, Sophie also loves dancing, playing the piano & violin, and reading books.  Sophie is an active member of her school’s Honors Orchestra. She has been dancing jazz, tap, & ballet for 8 years, and Pointe for 3 years. She wants to thank Ms. Liz for giving her the role of Ancestor Lin (Loyalty) “and also thanks the whole cast & crew of Mulan for making this a great show!

OLIVIA LOCKETT (Ancestor – Yum) is very excited to be performing as Yun, the ancestor of Love, in her second show with Cockpit and Court! Some of her favorite roles with The Children’s Playhouse of MD were Pinocchio (My Son Pinocchio), Blind Mouse (Shrek the Musical), and Chimney Sweeper (Mary Poppins). She would love to thank everyone who put their hard-work and effort to make this show the best it could be!

SARAH MOSCOSO (Shan Yu/ Ensemble) is delighted to be returning to Cockpit in Court this summer! Favorite credits include Ursula in The Little Mermaid Jr. at Cockpit in Court Theatre, Troll in Little Womenat Dundalk Community Theatre, Jack’s Mother in Into the Woods Jr. and Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz at Perry Hall Middle School. Sarah will be attending the Vocal Music Prime at the Carver Center for Arts and Technology this fall. She would like to thank Ms. Liz for giving her this amazing opportunity! Here’s to a great run!

Emily Ricci (Ancestor- Hong) is very excited to be in Mulan Jr.! She enjoys doing shows with her CPM family. Some of her favorite shows she’s done at CPM are Joseph (Ensemble), James and the Giant Peach (Sponge), Alice in Wonderland (Rose) and Beauty and the Beast(Ensemble). Emily would like to thank this wonderful Cast and Staff Production.

Dylan Morrison (Ling) is happy to play the role of Ling in his 3rd season with Cockpit in Court. He has performed in Peter Pan (Lost Boy Twin #1) as well as several other Cockpit productions.  He has also been in many CPM performances.  Some of his favorite roles include Gavroche in Les Miserables, Jeremy Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Pugsley in Addams Family. He would like to thank his parents for their support and Ms. Liz for casting him in this great show!

Jules Einhorn (Qian-Po) is thrilled to be in Mulan, Jr.!  You may have seen him as Pugsley inThe Addams Family at Dundalk Community Theatre or as King Triton in The Little Mermaid at Cockpit in Court Summer Theatre. Jules would like to thank the cast and crew of this show. Enjoy the show!

Zachary Byrd (Yao) better known as Z-Byrd is thrilled to be performing in his 4th season with Cockpit in Court Jr.  Zachary will be entering into 6th grade at Arbutus Middle School in the fall. Thank you to all the dedicated cast, crew and families that make it all possible.

Ryann Nicole Reich (Chi-Fu/ Ensemble) is excited to be on the big stage for Disney’s Mulan. Previous to playing the not so-good guy, Chi-fu, Ryann was in CPM’s Saturday Playhouse production of The Jungle Book playing the part of Bagheera, the Panther.  Ryann also enjoyed performing at CCBC’s Performing Arts camp playing the title role of Cinderella. Ryann is 10 years old and will be going to middle school in the Fall.

Emily Davis (Grandma/Ensemble) is thrilled to be playing the role of Grandma Fa in her second show with Cockpit in Court. She is a rising 7th grader at Dumbarton middle school. She was most recently in productions with the Archangel Players  and Children’s Playhouse  of Maryland. She would to thank Ms Patty, Rachel and Ms Liz for the opportunity to be in the show !

Lauren Fruhling (Fa Li/ Ensemble) is excited to be performing in her first show at Cockpit in Court. Lauren is part of the drama group at St Stephen School. She has enjoyed working with the cast and crew of Mulan Jr and is looking forward to participating in other further shows.

Julia Egan (Matchmaker/ Ensemble) is thrilled to be in her 2nd Cockpit production! She is a rising sophomore at Notre Dame Prep and was most recently seen as the Puritan ancestor in CPM’s production of The Addams Family. She would like to thank Ms. Liz for this opportunity and her family and friends for their endless support.

Kiara Burke (Emperor/Ensemble) First appearance with Cockpit In Court. Also appeared with Children’s Playhouse of Maryland for James and the Giant Peach.  Performed in five musicals with the Mount Carmel Players.  Sang National Anthem at Ripken Stadium two times in 2015 and will sing again in August, 2016.

Rose Glennon (Chen/Ensemble) is in her third summer at Cockpit in Court, having previously appeared in Annie, Jr. and Little Mermaid, Jr.  Her other favorite shows include Shrek the Musical and Mary Poppins at CPM and Joseph at Archangel Players. Thanks Ms. Liz for making Disney Magic come alive in this show!

Katie Doyle (Magyar/Ensemble) This is Katie’s 2nd summer with Cockpit and she is thrilled to be working with such a talented cast, crew and production team. Between last summer’s show and this one, Katie has been performing with CPM in James and the Giant Peach and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It has been a tremendous experience working with these storied theater companies over the past 12 months and loves every minute of it.

Tommy Beyer (Subar-Tu/Ensemble) is excited to be performing in his first Cockpit in Court production as ensemble in Mulan, Jr.  He is especially excited for his role in the Hun Army.  He has participated in a variety of shows, but his favorite show (up until Mulan) was Mary Poppinsat CPM where he first met Ms. Liz!  He would like to thank Ms. Liz for her kindness, direction and support.  He would also like to thank all the cast and crew in Mulan Jr for making this such a fun show!

Grace Glennon (Liu/Ensemble) appeared as Flotsam in Little Mermaid, Jr. and Duffy in Annie, Jr. both at Cockpit.  Her other favorite roles include a chimney sweep in Mary Poppins at CPM and children’s ensemble in Joseph at Archangel Players. Thanks Ms. Liz, cast and crew for an amazing show!

Erin Acerno (Ensemble) is happy to be appearing in her 4th show with Cockpit in Court’s jesters! Previous credits with Cockpit include Seussical Jr. (jungle animal/who), Annie Jr.(orphan), and Little Mermaid Jr. (fish/chef). She has also recently been seen in Children’s Playhouse of MD’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (ensemble) and Mary Poppins (chimney sweep/tapper). Erin is about to start 6th grade at Southampton middle school, dances at Rage Box Contemporary Dance Center, is a reporter for Harford Cable Network’s Kids TV News and serves on the board of a local nonprofit, the WeCancerve Movement. Erin would like to thank Mrs. Liz, Ms. Patty, Tiffany, Rachel and the entire cast and crew for another fun experience!

Evelyn Acerno (Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of the cast of Mulan! This is her 4th production with the court jesters, previously appearing in the ensemble of Seussical Jr., Annie Jr., and Little Mermaid Jr. She recently appeared as Toby in CPM’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Evelyn is a dancer at Rage Contemporary Dance Center and is about to start 3rd grade at Fountain Green Elementary. When asked what else she likes to do besides perform on stage, she was at a loss, but she has an interest in all things fashion! Evelyn would like to thank the entire cast and crew, Mrs. Liz for casting her, Ms. Patty for teaching them to sing beautifully and Rachel for the awesome dances.

Maeve Acerno (Ensemble) is delighted to be a cast member in her 4th Cockpit production! She has also been seen in the ensemble of Seussical Jr., Annie Jr., and Little Mermaid Jr. This past season, she was a forgotten child of Vulgaria in CPM’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Maeve is going to be a 3rd grader this coming year at Fountain Green Elementary and dances at Rage Box Contemporary Dance Center. When not on stage, Maeve’s favorite place to be is school, because she loves to learn! Maeve would like to thank Mrs. Liz, Ms. Patty, Rachel and the whole cast and crew.

Nora Acerno (Ensemble) is very excited to be in her 4th year with Cockpit in Court! She has previously appeared as an ensemble member in Seussical Jr., Annie Jr., and Little Mermaid Jr.  This season with CPM, she played one of the forgotten children of Vulgaria in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and can be seen later this summer in The Shadow Players production of What Happened at Fulton Square as Kristen Shepherd. Nora will be a 3rd grader at Fountain Green Elementary next year and dances with Rage Box Contemporary Dance Center. When not on stage Nora loves to read, write stories and color. Nora would like to thank Mrs. Liz, Ms. Patty, Rachel and everyone involved with this production.

Daniella Alvarez (Ensemble) is excited to be in her second show with Cockpit in Court. You may have seen her last summer as the tiniest fish in the ensemble of The Little Mermaid, Jr. She is grateful to the cast and crew for making this the best show ever.

Sofia Alvarez (Ensemble) is happy to be back in her third Cockpit in Court show. Her most recent role was as Piglet and Roo in Pumpkin Theatre’s Winnie the Pooh, and she has been in five shows with the Children’s Playhouse of Maryland. She would like to thank the cast and crew for a wonderful experience.

Anna Bartel (Ensemble) s excited to be in her first Cockpit in Court show. She was recently in CPM’s James and the Giant Peach! and she’s officially been bitten by the theater bug!    Anna will be starting 4th grade at Roland Park Country School and would like to thank Ms. Liz and everyone at Cockpit in Court for this opportunity!

Melody Blahut (Ensemble) is ecstatic to be performing with Cockpit in the Court for her second year. She wants to thank her family for their constant support. Melody is so honored to work with such an amazing cast and crew.

Amy Claudio (Ensemble) is 8 years old & will be in 3rd Grade next school year. Past shows with CPM include Hello Dolly, My Son Pinocchio, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and James & the Giant Peach. She also performed last summer in The Little Mermaid at Cockpit in Court. Amy loves singing and dancing. She has been dancing jazz, tap, & ballet for 4 years. Amy also loves reading books, watching music videos, and spending time with her family & friends. She would like to thank the CPM / Cockpit in Court directors for helping her become a more confident performer on stage, and her family for all their constant love & support!

Taylor Fruhling (Ensemble) is very excite to be in her first Cockpit in Court production. You may have also seen her most recently as a stepsister in Perry Hall Middle School’s production of Into the Woods Jr. She would like to thank the directors and the cast for making Mulan Jr. such a fun production to be in.

Maggie Lynch (Ensemble) is excited to be in Mulan, Jr. This is her second show with Cockpit in Court. Maggie was last seen in the Immaculate Conception School’s performance of Narnia. She is playing a solider in the Hun army, a mother, and a maiden. Maggie would like to thank everyone for making this show so much fun.

Naim Peace (Ensemble) is very excited to be in his first production at Cockpit in Court! You may have seen him most recently in the children’s ensemble of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Children’s Playhouse of Maryland. Naim would like to thank his entire family for so much love and support and the entire cast and crew for making Mulan Jr such a great show!

Claire Schafer (Ensemble) is excited to be in her first Cockpit show.  Most recently she has been cast as Bagherra in the Jungle Book through CPM classes, Child Ensemble in CPM’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and A Who in Suessical. She also participated in the 2016 session of YPA.  When not acting she enjoys swimming and doing cartwheels.  She would like to thank Miss Liz and Miss Patty for this opportunity.

Anna Tackett (Ensemble) is so excited to be back on the Cockpit in Court stage for the 2nd time after last being seen in Annie Jr.  Anna will be a 3rd grade student who has been performing on stage since the age of 3 and loves all sports, especially soccer.  She would like to thank Ms. Liz for this opportunity and wishes the cast and crew a fun show!

Liz Boyer Hunnicutt (Director) has directed Camp Rock, Seussical Jr., Annie Jr. and The Little Mermaid, Jr. for Cockpit in Court’s Court Jesters. She is currently appearing in this season’sThe Gazebo in the cabaret theatre. Liz is the resident director for The Children’s Playhouse of MD in residence here at CCBC Essex. She is happily married to James. Liz wishes to thank her production staff (Patty, Diane, Laura, Rachel, Sharon, Meredith & Tiffany) for all their hard work and support! Enjoy the journey.

Patricia DeLisle (Musical Director) is glad to be working again with the Court Jesters. She was with the Jesters for Annie in 2014 and last summer worked on the Cockpit Main Stage production of Thoroughly Modern Millie.  Patty is the Music Minister at St. Matthew Church and has worked with many productions for schools and other community theaters in the Baltimore area as Musical Director or Accompanist. She has enjoyed working with the cast and crew and wishes them the best for Mulan, Jr.

Meredith Egan (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be stage managing her first production for Cockpit in Court for Mulan Jr.! For the last 3 years Meredith has been working at Children’s Playhouse of MD running stage crew. She has designed lights and sets at her high school, Notre Dame Prep, and has also participated in productions at Beth Tfiloh Community Theatre and Immaculate Conception Middle School. Mulan Jr. is Meredith’s 30th production since entering high school. Next year Meredith will be attending Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, where she will be studying theatrical production and business administration. She would like to thank Ms. Liz for the opportunity to work this show, as well as the rest of the cast a crew for all they have put into this production.

Rachel Miller (Choreographer) has been the Resident Dance Captain for the Children’s Playhouse of MD for six years. Mulan is Rachel’s first job as choreographer, and she is thrilled for this opportunity! She has taken lessons from, and learned under the direction of, Amanda Dickson.  Additionally, Rachel works as an assistant for the CPM Saturday Acting Classes and has helped with choreography for the CPM Summer Theatre Camps, while working as a camp counselor. She is a rising Sophomore at The John Carroll School where she is active in theatre and choir. Rachel would like to thank Mrs. Liz for giving her this opportunity, and the cast for all their hard work and support!

 

Diane M. Smith (Mulan Technical Director, Set, Lighting and Sound Designer) is a 1982 graduate of CCBC Essex and has been working for Cockpit since 1978 in many capacities both technical and artistic. In 2008 Diane received the Most Distinguished Alumni Award from CCBC for her contributions to the Baltimore Theatre Community and her work with young people in the Arts. By day, Diane is the Theatre Instructor and Artistic Director for the Award Winning Theatre Arts Program at Beth Tfiloh High School in Owings Mills, where she was awarded “Teacher of the Year” honors for 2011.  Diane also proudly serves as the Artistic Director for the Award Winning – ‘Children’s Playhouse of Maryland’ that is in residence here at CCBC Essex.

Laura Miller (Scenic Artist) is the Resident Scenic Artist for the Children’s Playhouse of MD, where she has been painting for the past 9 seasons.  She is also a member of the CPM Board of Directors, and works as the organization’s graphic designer.  Laura has painted scenery for numerous Cockpit in Court productions as well as Beth Tfiloh Community Theatre and School, The Archangel Players, The Vagabond Players and University of Baltimore.  Laura is a graduate of the Maryland Institute, College of Art where she earned her BFA in Graphic Design.  She is currently the Administrative Assistant to the Creative Arts Department at Beth Tfiloh Community School.  Additionally, she works as an administrator for the Baltimore Theatre Awards.

Sharon Byrd (Costumer) is in her 3rd season with Cockpit in Court as the costumer. She has truly enjoyed working with the cast and crew of Mulan Jr. She would like to thank all of her wonderful Costume Moms for all that they do.

Albert J. Boeren(Properties Master) previously directed Don’t Drink the Water, Social Securityand The Odd Couple for Cockpit in Court. He also directed Brighton Beach Memoirs for Dundalk Community Theatre. Cockpit stage appearances include Hairspray (Mr. Pinky), Singin’ in the Rain (Dexter), Sunset Boulevard (Sheldrake) and Love, Sex and the I.R.S. (Mr. Janson). His DCT stage performances include The Drowsy Chaperone (George), 12 Angry Men (2nd juror),1940′s Radio Hour (Cliff) and La Cage Aux Folles (chorus). Favorite roles have included Harold Hill (The Music Man), Epstein (Biloxi Blues), Rooster (Annie) and Albert (Bye, Bye Birdie).  Albert has directed throughout the Baltimore area for The Matthew Players (Meet Me in St. Louis), Baltimore Playwrights (Farewell Mona Lisa), Pasadena Theatre Company (Arsenic and Old Lace), Merrick’s Dinner Theatre (The Odd Couple – Female Version, Arsenic and Old Lace, among others), Tony’s Troubadours (Godspell, Bye, Bye Birdie) and Rising Star Productions (Barnum, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown).  In September, he can be seen as Moonface Martin in Phoenix Festival Theatre’s production of Anything Goes. When not on stage Albert works for Care-Med Transportation of Baltimore and does substitute teaching for Baltimore County schools. He has been married to his wife Lisa for 31 years and has 2 wonderful children, Andrew and Angela, who are following their parents into the theatre world.
