in Fine and Performing Arts: Dance
To be admitted to the AFA program you must be selected through an audition process. If you are not selected at this time you may audition again next semester.
CCBC Dance Company Spring 2026 Auditions
WHEN: Friday January 30 from 11:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
WHERE: Essex Campus, WELL 230 East Dance Studio
Come dressed in dance attire.
Spring 2026 Audition Procedures:
- You must complete the online registration form here. The deadline for submitting the form is Friday, January 30 at 10 a.m. To complete this form, you need to know when you are available to rehearse on the Essex campus. Most rehearsals are from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.
- No need to prepare movement material for the audition — all movement material necessary will be taught at the audition.
- Come dressed in clothing you can move in or dance attire.

Requirements to be a CCBC Dance Company Member:
- CCBC Student
- Selection at the Audition
- Enrollment in the DANC 240 – CCBC Dance Workshop Course
- Enrollment in a CCBC Dance Technique course
Opportunities:
- Work with Faculty on choreography for the Spring Concert
- Create choreography that will be adjudicated for the concert

Perform in fully produced CCBC Dance Company concerts on campus stages

Work closely with CCBC faculty choreographers in a professional rehearsal environment

Be part of the CCBC Dance Company community — a supportive, collaborative ensemble of dancers

Create and perform original choreography, with selected works adjudicated for the Spring Concert

Gain performance experience valuable for transfer programs, auditions, or have an opportunity to perform at the CCBC main theatre for the first time

Network with guest artists, choreographers, and performing arts office through CCBC Dance initiatives

Represent CCBC at campus and community events
Rehearsal Information:
Friday’s 11:15 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and other rehearsals as scheduled on Monday – Thursday at 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. and/or Tuesday/Thursday/Fridays at 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (dependent on dancer availability and selection at the audition).
Other rehearsals as arranged (dependent on dancer availability and selection at the audition).
Currently Scheduled Tech Rehearsals and Performances:
Friday, April 24 – Saturday, May 2, at CCBC Essex Campus; Times TBA
