Dear friend of Cockpit in Court,
On behalf of myself and the entire Board of Directors, we hope you are all safe and well during this pandemic as we get closer to the light at the end of the tunnel.
We wanted to reach out to everyone with a revised update for the Cockpit 2020 season.
On Monday, May 11, the Cockpit Board of Directors met with CCBC’s Dean of Liberal Arts and Cockpit’s management team to discuss how to proceed safely as we move into the summer months. Taking into consideration all the unanswered questions related to large gatherings and the precautions required to provide a safe environment, the board elected to move the entire Cockpit season to the year 2021.
In summer 2021, we intend to present for you the slate of shows we had carefully planned, cast, and begun to prepare for this summer:
Xanadu – June 11 to June 27, 2021
Run For Your Wife – June 12 to June 27, 2021
Disney’s Moana, Jr – July 9 to July 18, 2021
Young Frankenstein – July 23 to August 8, 2021
And Then There Were None – July 24 to August 8, 2021
As you know all too well, arts organizations all over the world are already reeling from the impact of cancelled performances and lost contracts. For your support of Cockpit in Court and your commitment to keeping the live arts accessible in our community, thank you so much.
Subscribers and patrons who are already holding reservations will receive a separate communication from our box office. If you’d like to make a gift to the Theatre Patrons Association for this season to help defray the losses we’re unable to recover, a link has been set up here.
In order to help us plan for our eventual return to live performance, please consider taking this survey. We hope to learn more about how to best serve you when the curtain rises again.
Again, this has been a hard decision to make. We want to keep everyone safe and have you return to Cockpit knowing we are producing the high quality theatre you expect, with respect and care for the health of our entire community.
Keep safe, and know that we are thinking of you.
