An Update for our Audiences regarding our 2020 Season
Cockpit friends and supporters,
We hope this message finds you well, secure, and supported during these challenging times. Much as we believe the show must go on, our first concern is always the health and safety of our performers, our audiences, and our communities.
Realizing that the situation is changing daily, the board and staff at Cockpit have decided to plan for some changes in our summer season, in the hopes that we will be able to take the stage and see you back with us safely and soon.
Assuming we can safely resume rehearsals in early summer, we will plan to present a modified season consisting of
Disney’s Moana Jr starting July 10
in the Lecture Hall of the Administration Building
Xanadu starting July 24
in the F. Scott Black Theatre in the Romadka College Center
And Then There Were None starting July 25
in the Cabaret Theatre in the Romadka College Center
If this doesn’t prove possible, we will be in touch again about how our plans are revised.
In the meantime, the box office will reach out to our current subscribers to make arrangements regarding the tickets you’ve already purchased. All CCBC staff continue to work remotely, so please be patient as we work through the many events we are trying to cancel and reschedule.
Cockpit in Court is the longest running summer theatre in the state of Maryland, and we’ve never missed a summer with you. But extraordinary times demand extraordinary measures, and our absence now will only make our reunion better when this crisis has passed.
Wishing all of you the very best,
James Hunnicutt, Artistic Director
Lisa Boeren, Administrative Manager
