About Me

Gift from Jessica Walton

Good news everyone! I’ve been given a platform to share thoughts and you’ve found it! It’s only fair that you know a little bit about me…

A Fine Arts major, returning student and CCBC crusader, I’m working on my last year here before transferring to a 4-year school. In addition to being a Student Ambassador, tutor and Honors student, I absolutely love being involved and have grown a long list of ways that I am! I’m President of the Art Club and the Game Development Club, so you can find me on any given day running around the Essex campus. I take great pride in my campus and the work we do here. Returning to college has been a great experience so far and I’m really looking forward to the years to come!

Originally from Pasadena in Anne Arundel County, my husband and I bought a house on this side of the bridge 3 years ago. Luckily I was able to parlay the major life change into returning to school and discovered that it was a perfect fit upon entering the Fine Arts major. With the help and support of one of the best professors I’ve ever had (Jessica Walton), I’ve become increasingly involved on campus and love spreading that to others! There is so much more to college than classes and I like to help people find the right things for them.

I’m the proud momma to two very spoiled pedigree pinschers, a German pinscher~LolaMonster and a miniature pinscher~BabyGirl. I’m certain that they will make an appearance on here soon enough… I love attending and participating in art events, traveling, learning about different cultures and eating tasty foods! In my little free time, I love to knit, take pictures and cuddle on the couch with my puppies watching cartoons.

In this blog, I hope to share some of the wide range of events on campus, some profiles of professors and my experiences as a student. If there’s an overwhelming amount of “me’s” and “I’s” then its because anything said is from my perspective. There are many opinions out there and the ones on this blog will be mine. I hope you enjoy it!
