As the Grammy awards took place on February 10, one power couple was the talk of the night. Specifically, one half of that power couple, Beyoncé Knowles. Poised in her B&W Osman graphic jumpsuit, the songstress took her 17 Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance for her song “Love On Top”. The Baltimore Ravens might have taken home Super bowl Victory, but it wasn’t only Baltimore who has had a great start to 2013! With a vivacious halftime show, a world tour approaching, and a new bundle of joy to take care of; Beyoncé is at the top of her a game to say the least.

“Beyoncé has already proven she belongs in the business,” fan, Annabella Trotta said. “Her potential for longevity is undeniable. We will probably see her live to become the greatest female artist of all time. She is only 31 and has already made herself a household name. Being is Destiny’s Child gave her a platform to expand and grow. The greatest part? She is not finished growing.”

This confident beauty has worked her way up the charts and into the hearts of many. It’s safe to say 2013 will be a chapter in the many evolved aspects of Mrs. Carter.

Beyoncé’s’ Super bowl Halftime show was a jaw dropping performance. Knowles worked through a combination of her hits, including “Love on Top,” “Crazy in Love,” “End of Time,” and “Baby Boy” before she was joined by Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

Although Knowles is not coming directly to Baltimore, she will be at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. on July 29 and July 30. The two stops in D.C give Beyoncé fans in the DMV a chance to see her one or both nights!

"She is a very independent woman who balances her career and person life very well compared to most celebrities out there,” student, Kaity Reyes said. “She doesn't simply come out with new music without any structure or thought behind it. You can tell she puts time and effort into her work and makes sure it is perfect just for her fans. She is one of the most respected celebrities, because of her ability to not feed into drama and keep her personal life pretty private.”

Even though Beyoncé’s private life is fairly closed off, she gave her fans a sneak peek into her new life. A HBO documentary called, Beyoncé: Life Is But A Dream, aired on Saturday February 16 at 9PM. This rare footage gave a behind the scenes look into her private life, studio work, and performances.

According to USA Today, Beyoncé said about her privacy, “People are taking pictures of you and exploiting your personal life as entertainment. When Nina Simone put out a record, you fell in love with her voice, but you didn’t get brainwashed by her day-to-day life, and what her child was wearing and who she is dating. All these things that are really not your business. It shouldn’t influence the way you listen to the voice and the art, but it does.”

The documentary touches on topics of the songstress recording, being pregnant, her family values, and her new baby girl Blue Ivy Carter. There are also private moments shared between her and husband Jay Z on vacation and personal moments with her family.

Beyoncé Knowles is a talent that nobody can duplicate. It seems this is Beyoncé’s world and we are just living in it. She is sure to keep us entertained and we will just have to see what is next for Knowles in her worldwide diva domination!
